Antique Turkmen Rug

This antique rug, sourced from Ornate Rugs, was hand knotted in Afghanistan using 100 percent handspun natural wool and traditional natural dyes. The deep red field is arranged in a striking compartment design, framed by geometric borders that show the distinct tribal style of Turkmen weaving.

With more than 100 years of age, it has developed a soft patina that adds warmth and authenticity. Its compact size makes it ideal for studies, bedrooms, reading corners or anywhere a characterful tribal piece is needed.
